POSITION SUMMARY
The Line Operator is responsible for operating the vacuum machine and performing general production line tasks such as staging materials, assembling and disassembling equipment, and conducting basic troubleshooting when necessary. This role is cross trained to work in multiple areas of the production line and will step into various duties as needed to help ensure consistent quality, safety, and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
โ€ข Operate the vacuum machine and related equipment within the filler room safely and efficiently.
โ€ข Assemble, disassemble, and clean machinery and tools as needed, following all safety and sanitation procedures.
โ€ข Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment to support smooth line operations and minimize downtime.
โ€ข Stage materials and components such as containers, lids, scoops, and desiccants for use on the line.
โ€ข Support production flow by rotating through various stations on the line as needed, including filling, labeling, capping, and packing.
โ€ข Monitor product quality and report any irregularities, defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate parties
โ€ข Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and safety guidelines.
โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
โ€ข Complete required documentation accurately and timely, such as production logs or downtime reports.
โ€ข Participate in shift changeovers and team huddles to communicate line status, needs, and updates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

INTERIM OVERSIGHT
In the absence of the Line Operator, a designated and qualified trainee will assume responsibility for overseeing the duties and tasks associated with this role.

โ€ข Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination.
โ€ข Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation. Follow Company cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
โ€ข Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
โ€ข Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, twist, and lift.
โ€ข Must be able to repeatedly carry, lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds without assistance.
โ€ข Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, or controls.
โ€ข Visual acuity is required for inspecting products, reading labels, and identifying defects.
โ€ข Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and masks when necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
