Job description

Keeping a production line running at peak performance takes a combination of mechanical skill, attention to detail, and problem-solving. We're adding a PMC Adjuster to help optimize production, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure our products consistently meet quality and production standards.

  • Location: Scarborough, ON | 2121 Markham Road, M1B 2W3
  • Starting Rate: $26.94/hour (fixed & non-negotiable)
  • Shift: 8-hour / COP Schedule | All Shifts Required

What You'll Do...

You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the PMC line, helping maintain product quality, maximize uptime, and support production schedules. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Following all safety policies, GMP requirements, quality standards, and work procedures
  • Operating and monitoring PMC equipment to ensure safe and efficient production
  • Inspecting products and identifying defects or quality concerns
  • Diagnosing product issues and determining root causes
  • Implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and line performance
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Making machine adjustments to maintain production efficiency and quality standards
  • Using hand tools and production equipment safely and effectively
  • Supporting production schedules through proactive monitoring and problem-solving
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular housekeeping activities
  • Working closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support operational goals
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and performing other duties as assigned

What You'll Need...

  • Strong commitment to safety, attendance, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to diagnose production and equipment issues and implement corrective actions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain intense visual concentration
  • Basic mathematical proficiency
  • Ability to successfully complete a mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude assessment
  • College, trade school, or vocational training is considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including climbing, clearing machine jams, and handling components weighing up to 120 lbs.

Schedule & Union Environment

This is a unionized position, and union membership is mandatory upon successful completion of the probationary period.

  • The role follows an 8-hour / COP schedule
  • Availability for all shifts is required
  • Shifts are assigned based on union seniority and existing preferences
