What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transmission line engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and safety-focused culture
  • Coordinate team resources, workloads, and priorities across multiple concurrent projects
  • Lead the engineering and design of medium and high-voltage overhead and underground transmission projects from conceptual design through construction support
  • Oversee capital project development, including feasibility studies, project scope definition, cost estimates, and detailed engineering
  • Prepare proposals, technical approaches, execution plans, budgets, and resource plans for new opportunities
  • Develop design criteria, material specifications, construction specifications, and engineering deliverables that meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Review, seal, and maintain the quality of engineering deliverables while supporting continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, utilization, and engineering performance while reporting progress, risks, and forecasts to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
  • Conduct site visits, field reviews, and technical meetings with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams as required

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in Ontario or eligible for immediate registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
  • Minimum 10 years of transmission line engineering experience, with the majority gained in Canada

  • Experience delivering industrial, utility, EPC, or ECI projects
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship management skills
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and other Phasor offices
  • Experience with Ontario transmission utilities, electrical studies (EMF, corona, grounding, lightning), and construction support is considered an asset

Expected annual salary: $160,000-$210,000 (actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and current market conditions.)
