Mezzanine is an innovative restaurant in Egg Harbor from the creators of Tine & Cellar and Velveteen Plum in Central Wisconsin. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food according to recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist in food prep, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating proteins.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure proper preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries as needed.
  • Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role is highly preferred.
