Business Analyst / LIMS Analyst Developer
Remote
12-month Contract
Pay Range: $65.00 - $80.00per hr.
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / LIMS Analyst Developer to support and enhance a Laboratory Information Management System (LabWare LIMS v8), including system configuration, integrations, workflow optimization, reporting, and laboratory informatics initiatives. This role will partner with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, improve laboratory workflows, and deliver scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance LabWare LIMS v8, including system configuration and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop, support, and troubleshoot API and HL7 integrations.
  • Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and test scripts.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate system functionality.
  • Develop workflow documentation, process maps, and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Train end users and provide ongoing application support.
  • Work with relational databases to retrieve, analyze, and validate data.
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills:
  • Experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise software applications.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and test script development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience creating technical and process documentation.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience supporting LabWare LIMS.
  • Laboratory Informatics or Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) experience.
  • Knowledge of HL7, XML, CCDA, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and ICD-10.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports.
  • Background supporting laboratory workflows, quality systems, or regulated environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Laboratory Science, Epidemiology, or a related field.
