Job description

Halco Lighting Technologies, one of the fastest growing lighting products suppliers, is seeking an experienced warehouse associate for its shipping operations.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that outgoing shipments are adequately packaged, preserved and meet Halco quality requirements.
  • Operate certain warehouse equipment (forklift) as required to retrieve/move material from storage racks or floor space that has either been picked or will be picked for a future order.
  • Comply with all company safety guidelines and handbook policies.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and proper stocking and organizing of inventory in the work area
  • Process material returned by customers (RGAs). Insure product is properly put away or disposed of once disposition is made.
  • Audit pick tickets for pending sales orders noting any discrepancies.
  • Process shipments online via FedEx and UPS tracking software

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience a must
  • Must at minimum two years experience in receiving and/or shipping material
  • Able to drive stand up forklift
  • Attention to detail and efficiently complete all assigned tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Specialized knowledge in the area of warehousing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work standing for extended time periods up to and including entire work shift.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Good reading, writing and math skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend customers orders, freight bills, bills of lading, reports, etc.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize computer software systems.
