We are looking to hire an Assembly Technician for 1st shift in Torrance, CA 90502. This is a Direct Hire opportunity to join our FLAG Team!


ASE Certified Master Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Torrance, CA 90502
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Overtime: As Needed
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $40.00/hour DOE
Employment Type: Direct Hire


Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Assembly Technicians with strong mechanical aptitude, automotive assembly experience, and exceptional attention to detail to support high-end vehicle production and restoration projects in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling, fitting, troubleshooting, and finishing automotive components while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive assembly experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision workmanship in vehicle restoration, manufacturing, or dealership environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fit, align, and install automotive components and systems
  • Perform bumper-to-bumper vehicle assembly and mechanical installation work
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly and fitment issues
  • Read and interpret:
    • Assembly instructions
    • Work orders
    • Technical drawings
    • Build specifications
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Ensure all assemblies meet strict quality and cosmetic standards
  • Collaborate with:
    • Leads
    • Supervisors
    • Production teams
    • Quality personnel
  • Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
  • Train and assist junior technicians as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations
  • Follow all OSHA, PPE, and shop safety procedures


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of automotive assembly, restoration, dealership, or manufacturing experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with:
    • Vehicle assembly
    • Mechanical installation
    • Automotive systems
    • Precision fitting and finishing
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and specialty automotive tools
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE Certification highly preferred
  • Experience with:
    • Automotive restoration
    • Luxury or high-performance vehicles

    • Custom vehicle builds
  • Familiarity with early Porsche models highly preferred
  • Experience mentoring or training technicians


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements
  • Ability to lift and maneuver automotive components and tools safely
