Location: Public Works Service Center- Citywide Travel
Status: Non-exempt
Pay Classification: B-21
Summary
Maintains and controls plant machines and equipment of lift station facilities by performing the following duties.
** This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The statements below describe the general nature and level of work the individual(s) assigned to this position perform.   • Controls and maintains electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate wastewater flow into the wastewater treatment plant system.
  • Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
  • Performs daily maintenance at all lift stations.
  • Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Write correspondence and daily/weekly reports.
  • Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Manage problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned and required.
  • Rotating on-call schedule.

  • Must currently have or be able to obtain a 'Collections II' license within 2 years of employment
