Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Snowbasin's policies and applicable laws. Supervises and guides lead operators and lift operators with their daily duties. Continuously sets a high standard of work ethic. Verifies and inspects daily procedural standards. Trains and orients lead operators and lift operators to their positions and department. Appraises and disciplines lift operators on performance. Assists in building daily schedule. Assists in checking employees in during morning meeting and check out at end of day. Provides employees with regular performance feedback and assists with mid-season reviews. Prepares lifts, mazes and corrals for the opening and closing each day. Responsible for proper investigation and handling of lift-related skier accidents. Addresses guest complaints and resolves problems. Actively promotes and keeps safety a priority. Provides excellent guest service. Must be available full time and able to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Must have at least a high school diploma or a General Education Certificate (GED). Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have 1 plus year of supervisory experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Must have advanced ski/snowboard skills. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights when needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, shovel, rake, or ice chip. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Ability to fill any operational role in lift operations or pass checking. Must have the ability to pay attention to detail.
