  • Oversee and supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the treatment plans, providing ongoing guidance and support during therapy sessions.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapies, exercises, and modality treatments, tailored to each client's specific condition.
  • Evaluate clients' home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate independence and success in their rehabilitation efforts.
  • Administer traction, massage, and other physical treatments while instructing clients on exercises that encourage participation and engagement in their healing process.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team case conferences, sharing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Respond promptly to any changes in a client's condition by adjusting treatment protocols as needed and consulting with physicians and case managers.
  • Guide clients and their families in the proper use of assistive devices and the overall management of their physical therapy programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and age-related physical challenges. Your expertise will help clients of all ages regain strength, enhance mobility, and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • An active physical therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Exceptional mastery of manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
  • Strong proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Web PT, to maintain accurate and efficient patient records.
  • A solid foundation in contemporary physical therapy modalities and practices supported by clinical research.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous clinical experience in an outpatient setting, specifically managing diverse patient caseloads.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure, contributing effectively to the total treatment plan.
  • Experience in community resource utilization to support client needs efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits
