What is a life support?

Life support jobs refer to roles that involve managing and maintaining systems or equipment that are essential for sustaining human life, especially in critical environments like hospitals, submarines, or space stations. In healthcare, life support specialists operate and monitor machines such as ventilators and dialysis equipment to assist patients with life-threatening conditions. In other contexts, such as space or underwater operations, life support personnel ensure the availability of breathable air, safe temperature, and other vital conditions. These jobs require technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a life support technician?

To thrive as a Life Support Technician, you need strong knowledge of environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS), mechanical aptitude, and typically a technical diploma or associate degree in engineering or a related field. Familiarity with monitoring systems, gas analyzers, and often certifications like OSHA safety training are important for operating and maintaining critical equipment. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective teamwork are essential soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure the safe and reliable operation of life support systems in high-risk environments such as laboratories, aquariums, or space facilities.

What are some common challenges faced by life support technicians in their daily work, and how can applicants prepare for them?

Life Support Technicians often face challenges such as maintaining complex equipment under time pressure, responding quickly to unexpected technical failures, and ensuring system reliability in high-stakes environments like hospitals or research facilities. Applicants can prepare by developing strong troubleshooting skills, staying current on equipment protocols, and practicing effective communication for rapid problem resolution. Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams are also crucial for success in this role.

Job Description

We are looking to hire and train new Independent Life Insurance Agents.

This is a 1099 independent contractor, 100% commission sales position. There is no base salary. Your income is based on your activity, consistency, and ability to follow the training and sales process.

You must be coachable, adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn. This is not a get-rich-quick opportunity. It is a real sales career that takes effort, discipline, and a willingness to be trained.

You’ll work alongside experienced agents and top producers, giving you access to mentorship, proven systems, and support as you build your business.

You will work remotely from anywhere, part-time or full-time, with the ability to set your own schedule. As you grow your personal production and build your own agency, your income potential can grow as well.

You will be helping families with life insurance solutions after they have requested information or expressed interest in protecting their families. Our lead-based business gives agents access to people to contact, follow up with, and serve across the nation.

Because this is a highly regulated industry, you will need to become licensed. We will help guide you through that process. If you are already licensed, you may be able to onboard in a matter of days.

Income potential is uncapped, but results vary based on effort, skill, consistency, and time invested. We typically see part-time agents working 15–20 hours per week earning $3,000–$5,000 per month, and full-time agents working 35–45 hours per week earning $8,000–$15,000+ per month. Ownership opportunities are also possible.
