Blue Matter is a rapidly growing management consultancy focused primarily in the biopharmaceutical industry. ย We partner with our clients to help them achieve commercial success across the lifecycle of their products and portfolios. Our project types span, but arenโ€™t limited to, new product planning, launch strategy and planning, commercial strategy, portfolio strategy, and disease area strategy. The majority of our work is in specialty therapeutics, with oncology, immunology, neurology, rare diseases, and Cell and Gene therapy as specific areas of expertise.

We have a strong presence across our offices, but especially on the West Coast (through our San Francisco headquarters), East Coast (through our Boston and New York City offices) and in Europe (through our London and Zurich offices).ย 
As an Associate Principalย in the San Francisco office, you will join a dynamic team responsible forย helping build the Blue Matter business on the East Coast.ย 
Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project teams in the delivery of cross-functional projects acrossย multiple areas of expertise, including product commercialization and launch, portfolioย strategy, and organizational strategy and excellence
  • Support project leadership in the development of project objectives; develop andย manage project plans and teams
  • Identify required project tasks, assist project leads in assigning tasks to team members,ย and demonstrate accountability for ensuring task completion
  • Design, execute, analyze and synthesize primary and secondary research efforts
  • Identify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporateย and commercial strategies
  • Develop business and engage with senior-level clients
  • Recruit, develop and manage top talent
  • Identify business opportunities and support new business acquisition
Desired Experience and Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise with new client engagement and supporting businessย development
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in new product planning, commercial strategy,ย product launch, and organizational strategy and excellence
  • Prior experience in specialty therapeutic areas: Oncology, Immunology, Neurology,ย and/or Rare Diseases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree(s) (PhD, MD, MBA, or MS)
  • 6+ years of life sciences consulting experienceย 

Compensation: Base salary range: $185,000 - $225,000 per year. Generous incentive compensation structure.
