CT Technologist

Direct hire. Competitive salary, based on experience. Full-time. Outpatient radiology in a clinic setting. Free parking on site. Location: Syracuse, NY. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join a cutting-edge radiology department in Syracuse, NY. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in an outpatient setting, performing both CT and general radiography procedures. Key responsibilities:

  • Perform CT and general x-ray exams with accuracy and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Interpret and follow physicians' orders and scanning protocols.
  • Administer contrast materials as required, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, answering all questions and addressing concerns.
  • Operate and adjust CT imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DNV, NYS regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Apply proper radiation safety techniques to protect patients and staff.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and document findings using PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
  • Assist with quality assurance, area cleanliness, and inventory management.

Required qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in medical radiography.
  • ARRT certification (Radiologic Technology License & Registration).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical radiology technologist.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of CT imaging experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.

Work schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM.
  • Occasional Saturdays and overtime may be required.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $34.00 โ€“ $42.00, based on experience and qualifications.
