Position: Licensed Outreach Coordinator
Pay Rate: $26.25 Hourly Pay
Shift Details:
  • Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:40pm

  • Weekends Required
  • Customer Service
  • Outreach (Assisting with the Unhoused Community)

Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions

If you're outgoing and friendly, and enjoy working outside and meeting new people, we have just the job for you - Outreach Ambassador. This is also a great opportunity for community workers, retirees, and veterans.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Frequently canvass the zone to interact and seek out the homeless/unhoused on the streets to build relationships of trust with a "compassion first" approach.
  • Direct those in public spaces to services or more suitable locations.
  • Have a strong understanding of the variety of social services available to persons in need within their community, and suggest the right services to those who are ready to help themselves. Direct them to services and agencies to meet their needs.
  • Respond when merchants or visitors request engagement with someone who may be in need to help de-escalate and redirect their activities.
  • Establish relationships with agencies that are in place to respond to the needs of the homeless. Strive toward a cooperative effort to make a positive impact on the unsheltered in your zone.
  • Providing small comfort items, such as water, toiletries, or other similar items.
  • Must be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed which requires being proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
