Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to join our engineering team to focus on Contract/Commercial projects. Moser Contract projects include dining halls, student centers, & libraries at prestigious institutions; furniture solutions for premium restaurants and hospitality market; as well as corporate boardrooms and lobbies. This Role combines project management and execution, technical sales support, and product design.  


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

  • Manage all active (booked) projects from booking though installation and final payment 
  • ERP Data management
  • Line of communication (in both directions) between the Moser team and outside supply chain resources related to contract projects
  • Clear understanding of vendor capabilities and best fit for projects
  • Integration of new supply chain resources as needed
  • Shop and select appropriate shipping/freight for contract projects. Outline needs and communicate clearly so all parties understand timing, labor required, space requirements, etc.
  • Installation management (remotely and sometimes on-site)
  • Prep the installation team with clear directions for assembly of the product as required, on site requirements, floor plan locations


Product Design & Technical Sales Support

  • Product Design solutions for contract customers that fit the capabilities of Thos Moser and/or our supply chain and meet the customer needs
  • CAD (solid edge), Computer Rendering (Key Shot), Hand Sketching, clear Verbal and Written descriptions of solutions
  • New Product design to be worked in partnership with Product Design Engineer and managed in in parallel with annual product development activities
  • Technical product and process knowledge (Furniture Industry, Architecture, Building, Assembly/Installation)
  • Costing/Pricing - in-house builds and vendor sourced product, closely working with project salesperson.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar work experience
  • Furniture industry experience
  • Strong understanding of solid wood furniture construction techniques
  • CAD software (Solid Edge) - Rendering Software (Keyshot)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite user
  • ERP/CRM Experience (Epicor / Hubspot)
  • Willingness to travel for installations and vendor visits.
