Job description

Casne Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented BIM Specialist to help drive the next generation of digital project delivery within our Engineering Services Department. This role is ideal for a Revit power user who enjoys developing standards, improving workflows, supporting project teams, and advancing BIM capabilities across a growing engineering organization.

As a BIM Specialist, you will work closely with Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and the Drafting team to develop and maintain BIM standards, Revit content, digital collaboration processes, and model quality initiatives. Rather than focusing primarily on drawing production, this role emphasizes BIM management, content development, quality control, automation, and technical support.

Position Overview

The BIM Specialist translates Casne engineering designs into coordinated 3D models within a BIM environment, primarily using Revit. This role supports project teams through the development and maintenance of BIM standards, model content, project templates, Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, and digital collaboration processes.

You will play a key role in improving project efficiency, maintaining digital delivery standards, and advancing Casne's BIM capabilities across the Engineering Services Department.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Standards & Governance

  • Apply BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across assigned projects
  • Utilize approved libraries, families, and standards
  • Support implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
  • Promote consistent BIM practices across project teams

Revit Content Development

  • Create, modify, and maintain Revit families and content libraries
  • Develop standardized electrical equipment and infrastructure families
  • Improve content quality, scalability, and usability

Model Coordination & Management

  • Support project teams with BIM model setup and configuration
  • Coordinate model standards across projects
  • Monitor model health, performance, and organization
  • Assist with interdisciplinary model coordination

BIM Quality & Standards Compliance

  • Audit BIM models for compliance with company standards
  • Identify opportunities for model improvement and optimization
  • Support BIM-related QA/QC reviews

Digital Project Delivery

  • Support Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) administration and workflows
  • Assist with cloud-based coordination and collaboration initiatives
  • Maintain consistency across project delivery platforms

Training & Technical Support

  • Provide BIM support to Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
  • Develop BIM training materials and standards documentation
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring BIM users
  • Promote BIM best practices throughout the department

Qualifications & Experience

Required (Technical)

  • 3+ years of professional Revit experience in an engineering, architecture, MEP, or construction environment
  • Experience creating and managing Revit families, templates, and content libraries
  • Experience supporting BIM standards, coordination, and quality control processes
  • Understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Required (Business & Soft Skills)

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadline-driven tasks effectively and efficiently, including a proactive approach to follow-up
  • Successful completion of background checks (including possible drug testing, depending on the client) for access badging requirements.

  • Experience supporting electrical engineering or MEP projects
  • Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
