Job description

Accufile, is seeking an on-site, part-time Law Librarian. This position will support several law firms in the Boston area. The right candidate will be an experienced law librarian looking for a permanent, part-time position. **This is an On-Site position**
Duties & responsibilities:
  • Provide in-depth legal and business research services to attorneys and staff using both print and legal research databases and emerging technologies.
  • Library operational functions to include rectifying and processing vendor invoices, interlibrary loan duties, checking in library material in firms ILS, maintaining library intranet page.
  • Provide library outreach, training and orientation programs to attorneys and staff.
  • Library administrative functions to include monitoring vendor contracts, managing library annual budget, reports, and acquisitions.
  • Implements and maintains news, litigation, and client alerts; provides current awareness services to support the firm's client and business development work.
  • Maintain library memberships and passwords.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • MLS or MLIS Degree from an ALA accredited institution
  • 3-5 years of law library experience preferred
  • Strong service orientation with desire and ability to enhance attorney productivity
  • Proficiency with research tools including Lexis, Westlaw, and VitalLaw, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of print and digital legal and business resources and research techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage diverse projects
