Job description

St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Media Center Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The Media Center Teacher will teach PK-5 Library classes and multiple sections of 6th and 7th grade Family Consumer Science.
The teacher candidate should be able to:
  • Support the mission, vision, values, and goals of St. Mary Catholic School.
  • Create a consistently high level of student engagement and learning.
  • Establish positive relationships with students.
  • Maintain a consistent disciplinary approach that promotes self-direction and confidence by setting high standards for student behavior and effectively managing inappropriate behavior.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Cooperate with the school administration to fulfill additional operational and professional responsibilities and duties as needed.

All teachers shall be approved by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan and be required to hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate (Elementary or Secondary Education).
