MARKETING ASSOCIATE

Department: Corporate Communications and Marketing

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Location: Corporate Office

8250 Dean Road, Indianapolis, IN

Reports to: Corporate Communications & Executive Assistant

Position Summary

The Marketing Associate supports marketing initiatives across RealAmerica's housing development, construction, property management, and corporate operations. The Associate works under the direction of the Corporate Communications & Executive Assistant, who establishes priorities and retains final approval over content, messaging, and brand standards. As the Associate becomes familiar with RealAmerica's culture and expectations, they will manage work independently within that direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned as organizational needs evolve.

Marketing Operations and Cross-Functional Support

  • Maintain marketing calendars, templates, checklists, vendor contacts, asset libraries, and organized shared files.
  • Coordinate assigned marketing needs with Property Management, Development, Construction, and corporate staff.
  • Communicate project status and elevate strategic, sensitive, or brand-level decisions for supervisor approval.
  • Assist with vendor proposals, purchasing, invoices, and marketing and event budgets.

Corporate Communications and Content

  • Assist with producing the monthly company newsletter under the supervisor's direction.
  • Maintain the corporate website, brochure, company resumes, and other recurring marketing materials.
  • Draft press releases, website news, LinkedIn posts, event communications, presentations, and company spotlights for supervisor approval as needed.
  • Apply established brand standards and verify that public-facing content and assets are current and accurate.

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Assist with planning and executing company events, including groundbreakings, grand openings, conferences, staff gatherings, and holiday events.
  • Coordinate event vendors, invitations, RSVPs, materials, setup, day-of logistics, and follow-up.
  • Support conference sponsorships, booths, collateral, and promotional inventory.

Property Marketing and Brand Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate and consistent marketing materials for RealAmerica's property portfolio.
  • Coordinate professional property photography and maintain approved photo and rendering libraries.
  • Maintain property websites and Google listings and support new website and listing setup.
  • Create and update property logos, flyers, sell sheets, brochures, and promotional items for supervisor approval.
  • Support property social media and marketing campaigns as needed.
  • Identify and coordinate correction of outdated or inconsistent public-facing property information.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing, communications, or event-planning experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, design, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow direction, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and communicate progress.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Publisher, website platforms, and photography is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel to properties and events, including occasional early mornings or evenings.
  • Affordable housing, multifamily real estate, development, or property management experience is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • This is an on-site position with travel to properties and events and occasional work outside normal business hours.
  • The role may require extended standing or walking and lifting or transporting materials weighing approximately 25 lbs.
  • Business casual dress is expected and should be adjusted for job sites and events.

Contacts and Liaisons

The Marketing Associate will communicate regularly with RealAmerica employees, outside vendors, residents, project partners, and other individuals necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
