Library Media Assistant (4 Hours) | Educational Assistant (2 Hours) | 10 Month Calendar | Temporary | 7:45 AM-2:15 PM

GENERAL DUTIES:
Carry out the daily operations of the school based library media center and facilitate student and staff access to resources with the support of the District Media Specialist. Provide educational supports to all students under the direction of licensed staff. Supervise students in various settings and monitor for safety concerns.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • Experience working with children
  • Knowledge of library practices, terminology and procedures
  • "Highly Qualified" status Required/Preferred (two years of post-secondary education or an associates (or higher) degree; or District approved academic assessment)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Required/Preferred (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
