Job Description

Fairmont Copley Plaza is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the property's full marketing and communications efforts. Reporting to the Public Relations Director (PRD), the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the PRD in all aspects of media relations, digital advertising, and social media across both the hotel brand and OAK Long Bar + Kitchen, while also lending support to influencer partnerships, photoshoot production, and broader property marketing initiatives.

Communications

  • Support media relations efforts including press release drafting, media list building, and outreach for both Fairmont Copley Plaza and OAK Long Bar + Kitchen
  • Coordinate press stays and media visits, including itineraries and on-site hosting
  • Maintain media contact databases, coverage trackers, and PR reports
  • Assist in creating press-worthy experiences that drive visibility of the property

Social Media

  • Develop and schedule content across Instagram and other relevant platforms
  • Draft engaging, on-brand captions and copy that are in line with brand voice guidelines
  • Monitor community engagement, respond to comments and DMs and flagging concerns and opportunities
  • Track social performance metrics and contribute to monthly reporting

Digital Marketing

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of paid digital advertising campaigns with PRD and Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM)
  • Management of response effort for websites such as Google, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Open Table, Yelp, etc. 
  • Manage content on Fairmont.com, property microsite, OTA’s and other online listings

Influencer & Partnerships

  • Assist in identifying, vetting, and coordinating influencer and content creator partnerships
  • Manage logistics for influencer visits, including itineraries and contracting
  • Report on influencer performance

Photoshoots & Creative Production

  • Coordinate logistics for photo and video shoots, including scheduling, vendor communication, and on-site production support
  • Organize and maintain the property's digital asset library
  • Liaise with photographers, stylists, and internal teams (culinary, events, front-of-house) to ensure smooth shoot days

The hourly rate is USD $30.50

Qualifications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across press releases, social captions, and internal communications
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic digital advertising concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A collaborative, no-task-too-small attitude and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, luxury brands, or lifestyle content
  • Experience in hospitality, luxury retail, or lifestyle brands is a plus but not required.
  • Fast learner; can learn new programs and tasks quickly and effectively
  • Comfortable working with various Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferre
