Job description

Hiring salary is $21.79 to $26.15 hourly. Exact compensation negotiable based on skills and experience.

Summary: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the libraryโ€™s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.

This position will be assigned to the Edmond Library, which is located at 10 S Blvd, Edmond, OK 73034. The ideal candidate will work the following shift: Thursday 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

*Schedule is subject to change according to the needs of the library*ย

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
  • One year of customer service experience.

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
  • Experience building sustainable community relationships.
  • High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
