What You Would Get To Do
Our FIRST team of Creative Graphic Designers are always looking to welcome a new addition to our dynamic team. Bring your flair, perspective and originality to develop breakthrough creative that complements existing client work and new business initiatives. The 2D Intern will help provide support and actively participate in an award-winning Creative & Design team. A successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and adapt to ever-changing demands.
Your Contributions
  • Assisting with Design Projects
  • Support other designers by taking over project files and building out a full suite of branded assets.
  • Conduct research on design trends and competitor visuals to inspire creative projects.
  • Take feedback from senior designers and implement revisions effectively.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining a library of creative assets.
  • Collaborate on project teams, by supporting on image sourcing, photoshop mockups, photo retouching and similar.
  • Create social media assets, white paper designs, email banners and other collateral for FIRST marketing & internal teams.

What We Are Looking For
  • Candidates can either be college students, recent graduates, or individuals looking to change their career
  • Essential time management skills to ensure timely completion of design projects
  • Experience in events and/or experiential marketing is preferred.
  • Presentation design experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and take creative direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for design.
  • Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Professional working knowledge of industry standard design software and tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign).
  • Proficient working knowledge of After Effect a plus.
  • Presentation design experience with programs such as PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides preferred.
  • Artworking experience working in large formats graphics and directly with print vendors.
  • Experience with using Monk Skin Tone Scale (MST) is a plus but not required (https://blog.google/products/search/monk-skin-tone-scale/ ).
  • Motion Graphics experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to turn concepts into reality utilizing strong typography and design skills
  • This role is in-person and must go into the FIRST office 2-3 days per week, subject to change at any time.
  • Requires ability to operate a computer, telecommunications devices and other office equipment for prolonged periods of time throughout the work day.
  • Requires the ability to work and cooperate with other employees and clients at all levels and from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, information and opinions to facilitate the task at hand.
  • Requires clarity of near vision. This factor is important when special and or minute accuracy is demanded and defective near acuity would adversely affect job performance and/or safety of self and others.

Benefits: Interns are not eligible for company benefits during the internship. Eligibility may be reviewed if the internship is extended or converted to a part-time or full-time position.
United States Residents: Bachelor's degree candidates (current students or graduates) are eligible for $20/hour, and Master's degree candidates (current students or graduates) are eligible for $25/hour.
