Job description

The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced Systems Administrator – Level I to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Systems Administrator Level I

Location: San Angelo, Texas (AFB)

Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI

Duties and Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator I will be responsible for:

  • Plan, coordinate, and install software applications and hardware peripherals across Windows and Linux environments
  • Augments 17 TRSS network operation Cyber Support Desk team.
  • Manages user accounts and passwords.
  • Assist Cyber Support Desk with user requests for assistance and provides advice and support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions or inadequacies.
  • Performs testing, troubleshoots, and corrects problems relative to interoperability of system components such as hardware, software, and applications programs to include security and software patches.
  • Identifies and resolves common problems, questions, or situations and provides support in a manner that minimizes interruptions to the customer’s ability to carry out business activities.
  • Install, support, and maintain desktop computer operating systems, Cyber Operations System and Network Administrator Services Performance Work Statement (PWS) 6 hardware, and software.

Requirements and Experience:

Minimum of 1-year on-the-job IT experience to include performance of highly specialized work in a proficient capacity on highly complex or specialized IT systems/equipment in support of technical training in the intelligence/fire school environment.

Education: No Formal Higher Education Required.

Skills: Minimum of one year of experience with at least 3 of the following applications:

  • Active Directory Users & Computers
  • Directory Resource Administrator
  • Account Management and Security Group Maintenance
  • Windows Operating System
  • SOCET GXP
  • JMPS
  • Geospatial Product Library (GPL)
  • ARCGIS
  • Incident Management System (ex., Footprints, ServiceNow).

Minimum of one year experience in the following tasks:

  • Help Desk support for technical assistance, support of multiple  software versions, incident processing.
  • User Account Management (i.e., password resets, update user account information, etc.).
  • Install, support, and maintain desktop computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
  • Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution.
  • Respond to user requests for assistance and provide advice and support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions or inadequacies.
  •  Perform hardware repair on identified server and client systems
