Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

At the Kyle Correctional Center Programs Unit in Kyle, Texas, our foundation is based upon the philosophies of caring about others, giving back, and making a social impact. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping an at-risk population receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.

Essential Duties:

  1. Perform varied administrative duties including performing data entry functions
  2. Support staff in the maintenance of accurate and complete case reports, records, and statistics necessary for the evaluation of the program. Maintain confidentiality of inmate records
  3. Assist in the maintenance of recovery literature libraries
  4. Assist in the preparation of monthly operational reports
  5. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques
  6. Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Clerical, administrative, or related experience to include computer operations preferred. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.

Post Hire Requirements:

  • Must complete Correctional Awareness Training (CAT) prior to inmate contact
  • Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ)
