Salary: $18.42/hour - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

 Part Time (10/hrs per week)

Responsible To: Library Manager

Summary: Under direct supervision of the Library Manager, is responsible for implementing children programs for the Summer Reading Program, After School Program and tutoring program. Work flexible hours include evening and weekends as requested. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.

  • Associate degree in Library Studies, Education, Communications, Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, Native American Studies, Social Work or closely related field.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a library, classroom setting or public program planning.
  • Two (2) years customer service and computer experience with knowledge of databases and the internet; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience using social media technology.
  • Knowledge of smartphones, laptops and tablets.
