Company Description

Our Culture
What makes a company who they are? Is it the people? The Leadership? How they do what they do? Is it something that happens suddenly or something that grows over time? Is it something you aspire to be or something that you actually are?
As an owner, it feels like the Company Culture is a quiet pulse. Just as various systems in the body work together to create your pulse, the company culture serves as the pulse of the business, driven by its different internal systems. The people are the heart – they’re the strongest part. The hardest working, don’t stop, can handle the highs and lows of the system. The policies and systems are the immune system. They protect us – sometimes from ourselves, sometimes from the dangers of what we do and sometimes from the weariness that happens over time. Then there is the equipment. The muscles of this analogy – how does a trucking company not flex with the beautiful, capable and highly functional equipment in the fleet? Then there’s leadership- in this analogy what could be considered the brain. Sometimes the decisions we make are a strain to the system and sometimes they are what feeds homeostasis. We’re woven into so much of what has and does happen we’d probably be the nervous system.
Think this analogy is corny? You wouldn’t be alone. Dan and Chris J probably will too. And that’s the last part of what drives the pulse in this company – the love and admiration, the spirit. The Company, and its culture, is as human as it gets. Made up of people that have forged bonds with one another, customers and equipment. Made up of people that make mistakes, learn better and then try to do better. A place where sometimes stuff goes awesome and then other times it’s a shit show. But a place where you are in the good company of other good humans. Our culture is like a pulse, sometimes its racing with adrenaline and other times its calmly plugging along.
