Job description

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and people-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, communicating with different people, and making sure customers feel listened to and supported.

As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our customers. You’ll answer questions, help resolve issues, provide accurate information, and make sure each customer has a positive experience. We’re looking for someone who is patient, approachable, and able to stay calm and helpful when things get busy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responding to customer questions by phone, email, or in person.
  • Listening carefully to customers and understanding what they need.
  • Helping resolve complaints, concerns, and everyday issues in a professional and friendly way.
  • Providing clear and accurate information about our products, services, and processes.
  • Processing customer requests, orders, bookings, or account information where required.
  • Keeping customer records and information up to date.
  • Working with other members of the team to resolve customer issues quickly.
  • Following up with customers when needed to make sure their concerns have been properly addressed.
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative and customer service tasks.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to have every skill listed below. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in doing a good job.

  • A friendly and approachable personality.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with different types of customers.
  • The ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence using computers, email, and basic office systems.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to support your colleagues.
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience is helpful, but we’re also happy to consider candidates with the right attitude and potential.

What you can expect

You’ll be joining a team where your work has a direct impact on our customers. We value people who take initiative, treat others with respect, and are willing to learn and grow.

We’ll provide the support and training you need to become confident in the role, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your customer service and professional skills along the way.

If you’re someone who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and wants to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

If you tell me the industry/company type (e.g. hotel, healthcare, retail, office, property, finance), I can make this feel even more authentic and tailored to the actual job.
