About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in high-acuity environments and is passionate about delivering timely, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency setting
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage
- Administer medications and emergency treatments
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Respond effectively to critical and time-sensitive situations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- 19-bed Emergency Department
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Average daily volume of ~108 patients
- Diverse care team including RNs, EMTs, paramedics, CNAs, and providers
- Treats a wide range of conditions including:
- Cardiac and respiratory emergencies
- Stroke and trauma cases
- Abdominal and acute conditions
- Only provider of pediatric and PICU services in the region
- Active RN license
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
