We are currently searching for a Design Studio Associate responsible for ensuring the New Orleans design studio is organized and accurate. This individual owns physical and digital studio, sample library, production archive, shipping and receiving, initial QC, and documentation. They will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the studio's organizational systems as they evolve, and be empowered to articulate where those systems need to change as the department grows. You will have the opportunity to support TD creation, Illustrator work, fit modeling, and asset distribution. The right candidate will possess product judgment and an eye, not just organization, plus millimeter-level attention to detail and Illustrator proficiency. This role reports to the Senior Product Designer.
This role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters with periodic travel to New York.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the organization of the KREWE Studio in New Orleans and its creative counterpart in NYC, all boards, kits, materials and inspiration including the digital studio sampling library.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Product Designer, confirm delivery of revised technical drawings (CADs), ensuring specifications are met with accuracy, on time in full.
  • Advanced prep relevant samples and materials for fit presentations and Design meetings.
  • As part of the design and decision process, comfort with trying on frames and documenting fit through modeling of the product
  • Input and maintain shared Design Structure Sample and Color Sample tracker boards daily in Monday.com.
  • Audit and maintain design libraries in studio and online (CADs).
  • Receives samples and prototypes from manufacturer, checking in SKUs against order documentation to check for accuracy; communicates receipt and addresses/resolves any discrepancies with manufacturer.
  • Support with technical inspection of all eyewear samples and finished goods to ensure all technical and brand specifications are met.
  • Support build of seasonal tech packs.

Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in product, project management, or operations role
  • Experience with Adobe suite preferred
