Job description

Job Description
Position Overview
As the NERC Regulatory Compliance Associate, you will use attention to detail, technical writing, project management, and critical thinking to support Invenergy's Reliability Compliance program. Successful candidates will be able to work independently and as part of a team. The Compliance Associate provides support to the entire Invenergy fleet with emphasis on electricity generation regulatory requirements (NERC & IESO) associated with cyber security and real time operations.
This on-site position is based out of Invenergy's downtown Chicago office.
Responsibilities
  • Support a growing operating fleet with the demonstration of real time operations and cyber security (CIP) compliance
  • Independently serve as the NERC Program's Evidence Custodian
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize technical data
  • Write concise statements that reflect the application of synthesized evidence to the applicable regulatory rule to determine compliance
  • Work with internal groups to communicate changes or updates that require action from the projects.
  • Support the collection and assimilation of KPI data and reporting
  • Conduct ad hoc industry research
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Independently perform Access Management reviews, approvals, and conduct periodic audits

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Library Services, Business or related discipline
  • 3+ years of compliance experience and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience composing technical narratives and responding to various Request for Information.
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Willingness to travel between 5-10%
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of NERC Reliability Standards.
  • Knowledge of utility scale and/or renewable power systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Karta and/or Archer Tool is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables producing timely and high-quality
  • Nimble and collaborative work ethic

Base Pay
$105,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
