Duties and Responsibilities:

 1. Serve as full-time system administrator for library technologies including the integrated library management system, discovery platform, and other digital library service platforms.
2. Provide front-line technology troubleshooting within the Learning Resource Center including computers, printers, scanners, and related equipment, and coordinate with campus Information Technology staff when advanced technical support is required.
3. Provide assistance with learning technologies including learning management systems, academic software, and digital research tools used to support student coursework.
4. Provide daily service desk coverage and assist students, faculty, and staff in accessing library resources, research tools, and academic support services available through the Learning Resource Center (LRC).
5. Assist students with locating and utilizing library materials including books, digital resources, research databases, and other learning resources available through the Library & Learning Resources division.
6. Provide academic assistance to students related to research tools, digital resources, study technologies, and general learning support services available through the LRC. Limited tutoring in business or technology areas may be provided as needed.
7. Maintain and manage records related to the Coursera Microcredentials program, including tracking student participation, assisting with platform access, and supporting data collection for reporting and program assessment.
8. Support the operation of the college's Summer Advising Center by providing technology assistance and informational support to students, including guidance with scheduling systems, registration tools, and access to institutional resources.
9. Create and manage student identification cards for Louisiana Delta Community College and Adult Education students while maintaining accurate records and supporting related administrative processes.
10. Collect, organize, and assist with the analysis of Learning Resource Center usage data including resource utilization, technology support requests, and student service metrics to support assessment and institutional reporting.
11. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus departments to integrate library and learning resource services into academic programs and workforce initiatives.
12. Assist with planning and implementing student engagement initiatives and programming coordinated through the Library & Learning Resources division.
13. Assist with training, supervision, and mentoring of student workers and part-time staff assigned to the Learning Resource Center to ensure consistent service standards and operational support.
14. Assist in maintaining a welcoming, student-centered learning environment within the Learning Resource Center including monitoring computer labs, study areas, and shared technology resources.
15. Provide support for Learning Resource Center services across multiple LDCC campus locations as needed.
16. Participate in professional development activities and serve on institutional committees or workgroups as assigned.
17. Assist in supporting the mission, strategic goals, and student success initiatives of Louisiana Delta Community College.
18. Demonstrate and abide by the LDCC Standards of Practice and foster mutual respect among departmental faculty and staff members.
19. Perform all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Library & Learning Resources.

Required Education: The required qualification for this position is an associate's degree from an accredited institution in library science, education, information technology, business technology, or a related field. The applicant must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a library, learning resource center, academic support environment, or educational technology setting. Experience working in a higher education or community college environment is preferred.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer service skills and experience assisting students with academic resources, digital technologies, and learning support services in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
The successful candidate should demonstrate proficiency with computers, educational technologies, and web-based platforms used in academic environments. Experience with integrated library systems, digital research tools, or library and learning management systems is preferred. The successful candidate must obtain Ex Libris Alma certification within the first three (3) months of employment or possess an equivalent certification at the time of hire.
