Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting library patrons and staff in the organization and maintenance of library resources and equipment. Performs routine clerical duties related to the operation of the Seminole Tribe of Florida Library Program. Greets and answers patron's general questions; prepares library books, documents and manuscripts, or other library material for circulations. The incumbent maintains records of print and non-print materials and resources. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a clerical position within a library, or performing similar duties in a related filed is required. Any equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Knowledge of library organization, materials, services and policies and procedures is required. Knowledge of a library automation system - The Library Corporation (TLC) is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
