Job description

The Logistics Specialist is a dynamic and versatile operations and technical support role responsible for coordinating logistics, supporting field operations, and maintaining operational technology systems across Liberty Alliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting fast-paced operational environments and have the ability to assist with logistics coordination, facility operations, event support, communications systems, and technical deployments. This role may support a wide range of operational technologies including computer systems, AV systems, wireless networks, radio communications equipment, satellite connectivity solutions (e.g., Starlink), and other field-support technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational Logistics Coordination:
    Collaborate with the Senior Logistics Manager and operational teams to develop and execute logistical plans for on-site and off-site events, meetings, training activities, and operational deployments, including coordination of event space, transportation, equipment, IT/AV requirements, communications support, and participant registration.
  2. Event and Technical Support:
    Independently coordinate and support events and operational activities, including venue setup, scheduling, technical readiness, AV support, wireless connectivity, and operational communications requirements to ensure seamless execution.
  3. Technology and Communications Support:
    Assist with setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, AV systems, wireless networks, radio communications equipment, satellite connectivity systems (e.g., Starlink), and other operational technologies used in office, event, or field environments.
  4. Edge Network and Connectivity Support:
    Support deployment and maintenance of edge networking and remote connectivity solutions, including wireless systems, temporary network infrastructure, mobile communications equipment, and field communications assets.
  5. Logistics and Asset Management:
    Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and relocation of company assets, technical equipment, and operational materials while ensuring accountability and compliance with organizational procedures.
  6. Facility and Operational Readiness:
    Assist in maintaining operational readiness across facilities and event locations by supporting equipment setup, workspace preparation, maintenance coordination, and recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
  7. Workflow and Process Improvement:
    Establish, refine, and support logistical and operational workflows while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and operational support capabilities.
  8. Documentation and Inventory Control:
    Maintain accurate records related to logistics operations, technical equipment inventories, maintenance schedules, event support activities, and operational procedures.
  9. Security and Compliance:
    Maintain eligibility for a DoD Security Clearance and ensure adherence to operational security, confidentiality, and organizational compliance standards in all aspects of assigned responsibilities.
  10. Team and Mission Support:
    Provide support to leadership and team members as needed to accomplish operational objectives, mission requirements, and evolving organizational priorities.
  11. Additional Duties:
    Completes all other tasks and duties as needed to help drive Liberty Allianceโ€™s Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by the organizationโ€™s values.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelorโ€™s degree preferred in logistics, information technology, communications, operations management, or related field
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced operational environments
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience with logistics coordination, event support, operations support, technical support, or related fields
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to changing operational priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and operational technology equipment
  • Familiarity with AV systems, conference room technologies, and event technical support
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, wireless connectivity, or communications systems
  • Ability to learn and support a broad range of operational and technical systems as mission requirements evolve
  • Experience utilizing hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor operational environments
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and maintain eligibility for a DoD Security Clearance if required
