About Liberation Psychotherapy

Position Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor who also maintains an active psychotherapy caseload. This position is best suited for a clinician who is both clinically strong and operationally organized, and comfortable holding accountability within a structured practice.
This role combines:
Clinical supervision and oversight of psychotherapists
Administrative and managerial responsibilities
A consistent psychotherapy caseload
Support for practice-building and marketing efforts across the team
Clinical Supervisor, Managerial, and Practice Development Responsibilities
  • Provide regular clinical supervision to psychotherapists
  • Ensure clinicians maintain appropriate documentation, treatment planning, diagnoses, and clinical standards
  • Monitor clinician caseloads, scheduling, and appropriateness of cases
  • Track clinician development, hours, and professional growth needs
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide direct feedback
  • Intervene when clinical issues exceed a therapists scope of practice
  • Maintain documentation of supervision and oversight activities
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director on team performance, operations, and practice development
  • Support psychotherapists in building and maintaining caseloads through professional visibility, outreach, and marketing efforts
  • Monitor and reinforce expectations that clinicians participate in appropriate marketing activities to support practice growth
  • Participate directly in marketing, outreach, and professional visibility efforts for your own caseload and for the continued growth of the practice
Psychotherapist Responsibilities
  • Maintain a psychotherapy caseload of approximately 25 clients per week
  • Provide trauma-informed, relational, identity-affirming, and integrative psychotherapy
  • Complete documentation in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
  • Manage schedule and caseload independently
  • Screen potential clients for appropriateness of fit and scope of practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues as needed for client care and referrals
Qualifications
  • Active NYS license (LCSW or LMHC required)
  • Minimum 35+ years of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Prior supervision experience preferred
  • Experience in outpatient and insurance-based practice
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and documentation skills
  • Comfort balancing clinical leadership, administrative oversight, and practice-building responsibilities

  • Able to provide clear, direct, and accountable feedback
  • Comfortable managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities
  • Organized, reliable, and consistent in follow-through

Compensation
Psychotherapy services: Percentage-based compensation, typically 5060% of collected revenue
Supervisory and administrative responsibilities:
Hourly compensation, starting at $65/hour or higher, depending on experience
Work Structure
This role typically includes:
Approximately 25 client sessions per week
Approximately 5 hours per week of supervision and administrative responsibilities

Benefits Eligibility:
Full-time status, including eligibility for health, dental, vision, and PTO, is available based on a combination of clinical and supervisory/administrative hours totaling approximately 30 hours per week.
