Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 3/4 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. In this role, you will provide network technical expertise to a large Space Program.

*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding and obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.
What you'll get to do:

  • Design, deployment and maintenance of networks.
  • Interface with other groups to gain a heightened understanding of customer network requirements to include implementation of DISA STIGs.
  • Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset management.
  • Architect and assist in the successful deployment of international networks.
  • Implement Cyber requirements via STIG automation.
  • Integration of networks / time servers and other network devices.
  • Assist with integrating products within labs and development environments.
  • Help to maintain the information assurance posture of the system.
  • Formulate innovative solutions to problems as they arise.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Network Engineer - Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Network Engineer - Level 4: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to start
  • Experience with IP subnetting
  • Experience with L1 thru L3 networking
  • Experience with static and dynamic routing protocols
  • Knowledge of Cisco Systems networking, to include the deployment of complex WAN configurations across several sites (including international)
  • DISA STIG as they apply to network devices
  • Security+ Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Solarwinds network monitoring
  • Experience with Cisco ISE applications
  • Experience with Crypto units
  • Microsoft Visio Diagram creation
  • CISSP or Microsoft OS Certification
Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
