Manager, Maintenance Excellence

We are seeking an experiencedManager,Maintenance Excellence with natural gas, pre-treatment and liquefaction experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Improving overall Maintenance Effectiveness across VG assets
  • Influencing and aligning mindsets across maintenance to embrace and adopt Excellence and ensuring Continuous Improvements in Safety and Environmental Performance, World Class Plant Reliability and Efficiency and driving sustainable operating cost effectiveness
  • In conjunction with Asset Leadership, Training and HR, to contribute to developing the Capacity and Capability of our people through competence for each O&M role and that a positive great attitude prevails to ensure the objectives of Ops & Maintenance Excellence are embedded and achieved
  • Ensuring that ownership of Maintenance Excellence is prevalent at each site and that improvement plans are developed and actioned to close the gaps to transitioning from current state to achieving Maintenance Excellence
  • Focused workstreams;
  • Maintenance Excellence Strategy implementation:
    • Develop and implement a right-sized strategy designed to achieve Maintenance Excellence across VG assets, partnering with key stakeholders.
    • Drive Maintenance strategy adoption and ensure alignment with corporate reliability, asset management standards and interfacing disciplines.
  • CMMS Build & Optimization partnership:
    • Collaborate with the CMMS Build team to ensure data quality, hierarchy accuracy, and equipment strategy alignment within the CMMS
    • Collaborate with the CMMS Optimization team to ensure system configuration supports best-practice maintenance workflows & drive user adoption of process & digital tools across sites.
  • Maintenance Standardization implementation:
    • Develop and implement VG-level deliverables that provide governance, guidance and procedural clarity to Maintenance work management processes, across assets.
    • Champion standardized work management processes adoption across assets (planning, scheduling, backlog management, job plans)
  • Maintenance Excellence Culture:
    • Provide in-person coaching and support to site Maintenance teams with regards to
    • OMS, Operating Excellence and Operating Discipline objectives at all assets
    • Lead cross-site Maintenance forums to share lessons learned and best practices.
    • Communicate lessons learned & best practices with relevant asset stakeholders
  • Maintenance Assurance:
    • Develop & implement a cross-asset assurance strategy and an internal audit/assessment program for Maintenance, aligned with the efforts of Ops Assurance & Continuous Improvement workstreams
    • Identify performance gaps & drive structured improvement plans
    • Monitor compliance with maintenance standards & regulations.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement & operational discipline.
  • Support Maintenance Excellence into CP2 RFO plan, pre-build of PQX RFO plan and future assets.

Role is Houston-based with expectation of regular travel to CP and PQ as required, notionally alternating weeks of 1-3 days duration.

Position reports to VP Ops Excellence with day-to-day tactical guidance & close working partnership with Maintenance Optimization Manager and Maintenance corporate and site teams.

Qualifications, Experience & Core Competencies

  • 15+ years of Maintenance experience in LNG, refining or petrochemical environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is a plus (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related discipline preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or governing CMMS systems is preferred (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.).
  • Strong experience in maintenance strategy, reliability engineering, or asset management.
  • Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, RBI, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience driving change across multiple operating sites highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in training, mentoring, and developing maintenance personnel.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline
  • Ability to drive Cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to implement Data-driven decision-making
  • Strong in Process standardization and governance
  • Strong communication across technical and executive audiences
