Job description

The Substitute Teacher will support our micro school’s 1st and 2nd grade classes as well as toddler and prekindergarten groups on both short- and long-term assignments. This role involves maintaining classroom order, delivering lessons, managing student behavior, and collaborating closely with regular teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment. The position requires adaptability across various subjects and active communication with staff regarding student progress and classroom needs. There is no travel requirement, and the role offers opportunities for career growth through permanent placement, mentorship, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise classrooms and maintain a safe learning environment
  • Deliver lesson plans and provide instructional support
  • Manage student behavior and maintain classroom order
  • Track attendance and report on student progress
