Manufacturing Technician - Demolder

Weir - Townley

Location - Candler, Florida, USA

Work Arrangement - Onsite

1st Shift: 7am - 430pm, M-F

May adjust to 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM during hotter months

What you'll do
Setup & Pour Operations: Safely pour molten metal into molds, maintain ladle condition through cleaning and chipping, and ensure the work area is clean and safe. Daily tasks include handling molten metal with care and following strict safety protocols. Success means consistent safety compliance and efficient production flow. Minimal travel required.
Demolding & Shakeout: Remove castings safely from molds, clean excess sand from castings, and prepare castings for transport. Daily responsibilities involve physical handling of castings and maintaining an organized workspace. Success is measured by quality output and teamwork.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures rigorously, contribute actively to a zero harm culture, and demonstrate 100% commitment to safety behaviors.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of approximately 25 employees, rotating between molding areas as needed, supporting operational continuity amid staffing challenges.
Shift & Schedule Management: Operate primarily on day shifts (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with seasonal adjustments), Monday through Friday, adhering to scheduled breaks.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
