Legion Corporation Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer service-oriented Security Officers to support a large public event in Santa Monica on Sunday, July 19.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced security professionals who enjoy working high-profile public events. Officers will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while assisting with crowd management, access control, and public safety throughout the event.

Successful candidates must be reliable, proactive, and comfortable interacting with large groups of people while representing Legion Security in a professional manner.


Position Overview

Security Officers will be assigned throughout the event footprint and will work closely with supervisors, event staff, and local stakeholders to provide a visible security presence. Responsibilities include monitoring designated areas, maintaining pedestrian flow, responding to incidents, and ensuring guests comply with event policies.

Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and sound judgment are essential.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the event.
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted access areas.
  • Assist with crowd management and pedestrian traffic flow.
  • Enforce event policies and report violations to supervisors.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
  • Respond professionally to incidents and requests for assistance.
  • Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Represent Legion Security with professionalism at all times.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid California Guard Card (Required)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred


Preferred Qualifications

  • Event security experience
  • Crowd management experience
  • Access control experience
  • De-escalation and conflict resolution training
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
