Description
The Legal Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across the Company's commercial lending and financial operations. This position will work closely with management, internal departments, headquarters, and outside counsel to support matters involving commercial loans, collections, litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, OREO, corporate governance, and other legal and regulatory matters.
The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple legal matters in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications
• Law degree required.
• Prior experience in a legal, commercial lending, banking, or financial services environment required.
• Knowledge of commercial lending, loan documentation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, litigation, collections, and/or OREO matters required.
• Experience in reviewing, drafting, and analyzing legal documents and agreements.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and risk considerations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with management, internal departments, headquarters, and outside counsel.
