Job description

Job Description Our client, a mid-sized downtown law firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will support lawyers and clients throughout the full lifecycle of litigation matters, ensuring files are well organized, deadlines are met, and court documents and legal filings are prepared with accuracy and care. Key Responsibilities: General litigation and administrative support.

File management; electronic and physical file organization and diarization. Coordinating with associates and paralegals on workflow for larger files. Digital dictation transcription.

Calendar management. Booking appointments and organizing internal and external meetings, including meeting preparation assistance. Drafting and/or preparing various legal documents.

General correspondence and document production. Entering time and preparing accounts as required. Qualifications: Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant program is preferred, or equivalent years of relevant experience will also be considered.

3 years' experience working in the legal industry. Previous experience working as a legal assistant or in a similar role, particularly within litigation, would be considered an asset. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Positive attitude and passion for excellence. Excellent word processing skills.

Strong computer and typing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach. Solid time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
