Project Manager & Senior Project ManagerLegal Technology FocusRemote to start, eventually back in the office in LA, SF, Chicago or D.C.Summary:This individual will coordinate the onboarding of contract attorneys and manage other aspects of eDiscovery vendor services related to the Firm's limited outsourcing of legal technology as it relates to forensic collections and contract attorney staffing. This position requires an in depth understanding of the litigation life cycle, litigation technology, and electronic discovery.What You'll Be Doing:Work directly with clients and case team members to define business requirements, evaluate technology solutions, develop project plans, and manage projects with limited supervision to meet case or project objectives.Communicate directly with service providers to define the scope of case team needs related to collections and contract attorney staffing.Maintain expert-level knowledge of Firm-provided eDiscovery/ Litigation and Practice Support solutions and be a zealous advocate for the use of said services.Evaluate the performance of service providers using objective metrics and client or case team feedback.Escalate issues regarding service performance to the Litigation and Practice Support Manager.Work with Firm accounting resources and external vendors to resolve invoicing issues related to external eDiscovery provider services.Work with Firm Conflicts resources and external vendors to assist with the contract attorney conflicts clearing process.Create and manage project budgets and vendor pricing comparisons for case teams and/or clients.Manage and coordinate the delivery of service using both internal and external resources, including negotiating with outside vendors as appropriate.Coordinate user access to internal Litigation and Practice Support technical resources and troubleshoot issues with the same.Assists in the development of department best practices and documentation of business processes.Exhibit overall business awareness as it relates to the goals and objectives of the department.Keep abreast of current technologies, strategies and solutions relating to e-discovery and legal technology.Performs other tasks as directed by partners, senior counsel, associates, of counsel, or Senior Firm Management.Skills We're Seeking:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience with Project ManagementExperience with legal technology such as Relativity, Nuix, and/or LAW PreDiscovery
