Addison Group is partnering with a well-established regional law firm seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy litigation practice. This firm specializes in complex litigation matters and offers a collaborative, flexible environment where team members have the opportunity to take ownership of their work and gain exposure to a variety of legal functions.

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant with law firm experience and a strong understanding of litigation support. This individual will provide administrative support to attorneys, manage legal documentation, assist with deadlines and filings, and help maintain smooth daily operations within a fast-paced legal environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling litigation documents, court filings, legal correspondence, and attorney support while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys with day-to-day administrative and litigation-related tasks
  • Prepare, format, and manage legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and internal materials
  • Assist with court filings and tracking important deadlines
  • Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and manage scheduling needs
  • Monitor incoming communications and provide proactive follow-up when needed
  • Organize and maintain electronic files, records, and case documentation
  • Assist with settlement-related administrative tasks, including learning basic calculations, fee breakdowns, and distribution processes
  • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, attorneys, and internal staff
  • Utilize legal software systems and Microsoft Office tools to support workflow and document management

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of legal assistant experience within a law firm environment; 5+ years preferred
  • Experience supporting litigation matters and working with legal documents, pleadings, and filings
  • Ability to discuss prior litigation experience and describe involvement in case support
  • Experience managing calendars, deadlines, and legal scheduling requirements
  • Familiarity with legal software such as Law Toolbox or similar deadline management tools
  • Experience with document management systems such as NetDocuments, Centerbase, or similar platforms
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Associate degree or college education preferred; equivalent legal experience will be considered
