Job Description:

The firm is seeking a Registered Branch Operations Manager to join our Branch office Private Client Division in our Pacific Northwest Region in our Seattle, WA Branch. The Operations Manager is an integral part of the branch office management team. This position will report to the National Branch Operations Administrator with secondary reporting to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform the day-to-day branch operations, functions, and responsibilities
  • Approve operational related transactions (Check issuance and deposits, wire transfers, journal entries)
  • Create procedures to ensure daily work, including approvals, are handled in a timely manner
  • Order room (including order errors)
  • Option approvals
  • Margin inquiries
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures
  • Assist with onboarding Financial Advisors
  • Assist with AML review and compliance
  • Interaction with legal and compliance regarding items that may require escalation
  • Assist office staff, FAs, and CSAs with Ad Hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 to 5 years industry experience required
  • FINRA Registrations: SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/65 or 66

Qualifications:

  • Interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and clients in a highly professional and friendly manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the team, possess good writing and communication skills, exhibit good time management and relationship management skills
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Must be able to multi task and work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment
  • Ability to think critically and demonstrate great analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation:

For job postings in Washington, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of Washington and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The current base salary range offered for this role is between $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
