ACLU of Georgia welcomes interns each spring, summer, and fall across legal, policy, communications, community engagement, and voter access teams. We accept students at all levels, including high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate.


Fall 2026 term: September 9th - December 11th, 2026 (dates are approximate based on department needs and academic schedules).

 
The internship this term will offer academic credit only. Individual schedules will be arranged with intern supervisors. All applicants must complete this application form which includes providing a resume. Some applicants may be required to provide additional documents.

 
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - so we encourage you to apply early! The application deadline is August 14, 2026. However, due to high volume of applications, we reserve the discretion to close the application earlier if necessary.


Community Engagement


Interns with the Community Engagement Manager, will gain hands-on experience in grassroots organizing, coalition building, and community outreach strategy in support of ACLU of Georgia’s advocacy priorities. They will support active community engagement campaigns, contribute to activist and advocacy programs, and assist with outreach efforts across the state. This internship is a good fit for students interested in civil rights advocacy, community organizing, strategy, or nonprofit campaign work who are looking to build practical skills in a mission-driven environment.
