Position Responsibilities
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a motivated, energetic Legal Operations and Research Intern to join our Legal Team for the Summer 2027 and assist us in a number of areas, including:
  • Reviewing and evaluating legal software, GenAI, and other AI-enabled tools for functionality, efficiency, and potential adoption across the Legal Department.
  • Supporting legal reporting and analytics, including tracking key metrics, building dashboards, and analyzing matter and spend data.
  • Researching and completing special projects to improve legal operations processes and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
  • Benchmarking best practices and alternative approaches to legal operations and technology adoption.
  • Reviewing historical files and determining new data retention approaches.
  • Assisting with process improvement initiatives within the Legal Operations function.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate would be able to:
  • Quickly understand key business objectives.
  • Spot risks and opportunities quickly, providing concise summaries and actionable solutions.
  • Analyze data and present findings in a clear, actionable format.
  • Manage diverse projects independently with a high level of efficiency and collaboration.

Experience and Skills Preferred:
  • Current enrollment in a university degree program.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills that foster teamwork and effective working relationships.
  • Familiarity with and interest in legal technology and AI tools, including experience evaluating or using GenAI and large language models, contract lifecycle management systems, or other legal software.

Compensation Info
The U.S. hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
