Legal Intake professionals serve as the first point of contact between a law firm and potential clients, handling incoming inquiries, gathering preliminary case details, and determining eligibility for legal services. They are responsible for accurately recording information, assessing the urgency and nature of cases, and scheduling consultations with attorneys. This role often requires multitasking between phone calls, emails, and data entry while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Legal Intake team members also collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff, ensuring that every case is properly documented and ready for review. Job description

Description
The Role:
We are looking for a full-time (hybrid) Client Intake Specialist to own our intake process from first contact through signed engagement. This role is the firm's first impression and a key driver of new business - you will qualify leads, conduct intake interviews, and manage the pipeline in Clio Grow, working closely with the Managing Partner and our Director of Finance Operations.
This is a fast-paced, front-of-house role - you're often the first voice a prospective client hears. Speed matters (we aim to respond to new leads within minutes, not hours), and so does empathy. If you like moving quickly, staying organized under volume, and turning conversations into results, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Get
  • Meaningful work in a firm that moves fast and takes its cases seriously
  • Direct access to experienced attorneys who will invest in your development
  • Competitive compensation, $20-$25/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive health benefits, HSA/FSA, and 401(k) with firm contribution
  • A collaborative team that genuinely likes working together

One thing worth saying: this is a small firm. There will be stretches where things are busy, and everyone is moving fast. We don't manufacture urgency, but we don't apologize for it when it's real. What we offer in return is work that matters, people who respect your time and your contribution, and a place where you can actually grow.
We review every application personally. If you're the right fit, you'll hear from us. If you're not, we'll let you know that too.
Responsibilities
$41
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
Required:
• A warm, professional communication style - you are often the first voice a prospective client hears
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through - no lead falls through the cracks on your watch
• Ability to manage a high volume of leads and consultations simultaneously without losing track of anything
• Comfort learning employment law basics well enough to spot a viable claim (training provided)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new technology quickly
• A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset - you notice what needs to be done and do it
Strongly Preferred:
• Experience in intake, sales, or another client-facing, conversion-driven role
• Familiarity with Clio Grow, Clio Manage, or comparable CRM/case management software
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Bachelor's degree
