Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resource Department. The Human Resource Assistant will perform various administrative responsibilities related to the management of employees and employee files. Working collaboratively with the Human Resource Department members to support initiatives and projects, the Human Resource Assistant will handle the daily administrative and HR duties to help the department run smoothly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resource office.
Handle and maintain confidential records and files.
Maintain leadership and employee confidence and protect operations by keeping HR information confidential.
Create written communication for employees related to HR actions and or agency information.
File and maintain paperwork.
Detail invoices for appropriate allocations and send for approval.
Complete forms requesting information within the required deadline.
Update and maintain personnel files.
Monitor group HR email mailbox, responding and routing requests.
Close out separated employe files.
Complete HR Actions for employees related to transfers, promotions and separations as assigned.
Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual metrics for human resource department for reporting at reoccurring meetings in collaboration with other HR team members. Distribute on reoccurring schedule.
Prepare presentations and communications from the HR Department.
Maintain HRIS that meets the needs of the human resource department and the needs of the agency.
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
Maintain up to date labor posters and distribute them to all job sites and store electronically for employee access.
Cross train into other specialized tasks in the human resource department for professional development and workload distribution to assist in absences or large work load times in the department.
Assist with special projects.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in business or related field preferred or High School Diploma (GED) with one to two years of administrative/office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
