Job description

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company is actively recruiting for a temporary Contracts/Transaction Professional for a remote opportunity for a corporate client in Princeton, NJ.

Work Location: Remote
Hours: 20โ€“40 hours per week (flexible based on availability and business needs)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3โ€“6 months
Pay Rate: Flexible / commensurate with experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a contract/transaction professional with strong Sourcing/Procurement experience to support a large organizationโ€™s sourcing process. This role will partner closely with the internal Sourcing team and serve as a key liaison to Legal, reviewing and progressing agreements using a Legal-designed rubric. The ideal candidate is comfortable with light negotiation, understands when to escalate higher-risk issues to Legal, and can help move agreements efficiently through the contracting workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal Sourcing/Procurement stakeholders to review supplier agreements and transaction documents.
  • Apply a Legal-designed rubric to identify risk issues, required terms, and negotiation parameters.
  • Conduct light negotiation with suppliers within approved guidelines and determine when escalation is required.
  • Collaborate across Sourcing and Legal teams to support efficient, compliant contract flow.
  • Help manage agreement progression through the sourcing/contracting process, ensuring clear documentation and timely communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with large company sourcing processes (Procurement/Sourcing operations).
  • Some experience with contract review and negotiation (note: no original contract drafting is required).
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally between Sourcing and Legal teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in issue-spotting and escalation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Life Sciences industry experience strongly preferred; without it, some agreements may include unfamiliar terminology and concepts.
